Thanks! I was frantically trying to eliminate spaces in my filenames so the website could zip them!

I was fortunate to attend Andy’s conference once and it is sufficient to say “he really knows his stuff”. I am eager to read this book and learn some new CSS techniques.

I’ve been using shortcuts for a long time in CS2, but in CS3 I can only get them to work if I cam coding in ActionScript 1 or 2, but not in AS3. It’s annoying to seemingly have lost access to shortcuts.

  10. Matt says:

Great, I had pretty much written the same chunk of code as you, then one last google search and hey presto all that work reduced to one handy line. Thanks.

  11. OMG is an understatement. I cannot believe this has flown under my radar.

Launching Flash now. Shaking head and smiling wryly.

  13. Philip says:

hah that code saved my day!

  14. I am waiting for CS4 so that it works better with the OS X system. CS3 is nice, but can be a tad unstable at times.

  15. Robert says:

I’ve tried the Beta of Dreamweaver CS4 and Fireworks CS4 and like the latest additions and the new panels that match the other CS3 panels. Looking forward to CS4.

    Can anyone please help?!

I share the internet via wireless with my neighbour – HE has Ubuntu/linux and has the main HUB and i have Windows XP with a ‘sweex wireless dongle’…
The problem is… that when HE turns his computer on… it blocks my wireless adapter and cuts me offline….Why??
I have the 10 digit WEP/WPA… and pay most of the bill… so its not like he has deliberately blocked me… it is causing a LOAD of stress and depression, as its my lifeline – quite literally!

I can only ‘pick-up’ his signal off his HUB when his CPU is off?!?!? it doesnt make any sense 2me… please tell me… Is there something on HIS computer i need to change? if so what?? coz i dont have a clue about ubuntu/firefox/linux… or is there something i can do at my end??
Please if anyone reads this, help!! thank you.

I can’t find Locomotive on the above mentioned web site (http://locomotive.raaum.org). Is there anyplace else I can download it?

  19. Robert says:

Unfortunately it seems that Locomotive is not longer supported by the creator so it is no longer recommended as a viable way to run rails on your mac. Sorry!

  22. Thanks for the little trick.
I found it useful to implement it in my site.

  23. Ben says:

Great tutorial. There are loads out there, but they all go way over my head at least. There seems to be a big gap from knowing nothing about version control, to somehow knowing it all. I’m at the beginning of that scale, and any more like this would be very helpful. Thanks!

  24. Robert says:

    Hey Ben

Thanks for the feedback and glad to see that it may have helped somebody. I can relate to the frustration at trying to learn new developer skills particularly for beginners who aren’t doing this type of thing everyday. :-)

  25. A good guide to transcends CSS, also for web professionals. thanks, peter

  26. Ricky says:

    Thanks a bunch man!

Been searchin’ for this exact thing. And just worked out perfect for something I was working on.

    Thank you again!

  27. Hi, I might be too late. But is this job opening still accepting applicants? I am a programmer and I am into designing too. Might be a big help if a designer/programmer in one work with you.

  28. Robert says:

    Hi IT Services

Yes your too late for the job as it’s already been filled. With a name like IT Services it shouldn’t be too hard to find work hey…

  29. Hugo says:

Thanks you save me hours of searching, great tip for customisation. Keep the good work. If you come to portugal i´ll pay you a pint.

  30. Dustin says:

Thanks a ton. I was thinking about just keeping it a link and changing the CSS. Your way is the way I thought it should be. Thanks again!
