Adobe to Release Fireworks 9

There was a lot of speculation after the Adobe & Macromedia merger as to which products in both of their line ups would get axed in favour of one or the other.

Fireworks 8 was the last version under the Macromedia brand and often under rated as a graphics package but anyone working with web and who has been using it will tell you what a great tool often having the edge over other graphics packages being very easy to use and having a neat bag of tricks including being able to export layouts into CSS layouts for much more compliant web site code.

So the question on every web designers mind was whether Fireworks would survive the merger and escape the axe. Well it’s official… Adobe has now started a Fireworks 9 beta program to have designers interested in testing new upcoming features for the next release of Fireworks 9.

So we can now all breath a sign of relief and wait for the next release of Fireworks 9 under the Adobe brand. I have to say that I just can’t wait.

Does anyone know when this version 9 will be released!

    Robin,

  2. Unfortunately I don’t have any information on when Adobe plans to release the next version of Fireworks but I’d imagine it won’t be in the too distant future. When I do hear, I’ll be sure to post it here.
